On the footprints of the Donnersberg and on the shores of the Alsenz the truly "culinary" tale of the family Jennewein & their Klostermühle unfolds, in Munchweiler.
All started with a crazy idea. The six man strong Jennewein family is contemplating the impresssions of the past couple of days of their vacation and realizes : "We can do it too! And we even got the space for it anyway!" Since the Klostermühle thats been family owned since the 1920 and so far only been used for farming, offers sufficient space for guestrooms, restaurant and everything else that is required to host visitors.
Thats how a former mill came to be a cozy 3 stars plus hotel welcoming travelers like businessmen, situated not far from Kaiserslautern, Mainz and Mannheim in the southwest, but still within the Pfälzerwald countryside.
The charming landidyll hotel in Rheinland-Pfalz with an extensive garden is a wonderful setting for festivities and events of all sorts, and also offers lots of creative options, thanks to its different and unique rooms.
The Klostermühle consists of over 28 rooms, 4 of which are in the premium category, an exceptional restaurant with a huge terrace and 3 meeting rooms. The restaurant is quite popular with guests of the hotel as well as local people alike, and is one of the recommended venues in the Pfälzer restaurant guide.
Erik Jennewein is continuing running his farm as well the hotel. And his sister Carla together with her wife Catie provide the restaurant with fresh herbs and vegetables straight from their own farm "Fräulein Lenz".

The Pfälzer Höhenweg ranging from Winnweiler to Wofstein is a very special hiking highlight. Over a distance of around 110 km, you will be experiencing quite some fantastic views and impressions.
